PAA Minutes November 7, 2007

AD’s Report

• Captains

      Dan will be meeting with all captains once a month. 

• Jackets

      Jackets have arrived and are ready to be handed out at banquets. Also available

      for previous letter winners. Contact Steve Derro, equipment manager. ($25 ..made

      payable to PAA) 

• 24 hour Spin Out Fundraiser

      To be held November 16^th/17^th Friday noon – Saturday noon.

      If you still want to participate get your forms and money in.  

• Fundraising

      Concern raised about some of the fundraising done by coaches and others.

      No fundraiser is mandatory, and student athletes should not be expected to raise

      a specific $ amount.

      As discussed in previous years, we request that anyone wishing to organize a

      fundraising event complete a form(obtainable from AD) prior to the event.

      In the case of raffles etc. a list of prize winners should be made public either at the  

      school or in the local newspaper.

      All coaches will be notified about fundraising guidelines. 

• Winter Sports Sign –Ups

      Wednesday, November 14  

PAA Agenda 

• Winter Sports Book

      Fall book sales slow due to late printing. Books will be available for sale at  banquets.

      Team photo day preferably the first week of December, so that Janice can get the  books out as soon as possible. Teams waiting for new uniforms will have photos  taken in old uniforms.

      Winter Book Cover – any student wishing to design the cover should submit their  art work to the AD/Art Teacher

      Will print 175 books. 

• Sports Sign ups

      Discussion as to whether sign ups should be held at night with all coaches present:  all guide lines could be presented, monies paid and questions asked. Too late for  winter sign ups but possible for Spring?  

• Concession Stand

      Outdoor concession stand will be cleaned and water shut off. Remaining items  will be  transferred to indoor concession stand. Thank you Cathy Crawford! 

• Coke Machine

      Sales have been very slow. Hopefully they will pick up once basketball season  starts.  

• Treasurer’s Report

      Football concession stand profit down on last year.

      Coke machine sales also down
