A request was made by Coach Todd Ruland (Cross Country) for new girls uniforms.  Cross Country girls borrowed indoor track uniforms last fall because their uniforms were threadbare to the point that they were see through.  He asked for $2,400.00 from PAA to purchase 40 uniforms.  PAA Approved.

A request was made by Coach Christian Langlois for PAA to pay for an entrance fee of $238.00 for boy’s tennis to participate in a jamboree.   PAA approved.

More discussion was had on the idea of bringing all the booster groups into the PAA to accomplish bigger goals.   The biggest goal would be the facilities at Pentucket.  We do not have a track to hold home meets for track.  The MIAA won’t let us use our gym for basketball tournament games because of the space issue.  The tennis courts were put in the wrong place and due to water run off, get worse every year.  There is a way to fix the problem, but it is an expensive proposition.  The tennis nets need replacing and so on and so on.  The idea is that instead of buying apparel every year for the athletes, lets pool the funds and make Pentucket a place we can all be proud of.

Discussion was had about an all sports boosters Golf tournament in September.  We are hoping that this could be a start of all booster groups working together as one to accomplish bigger goals.  We believe this could become an annual fundraiser with alumni attending as well.  It has been done in other communities with great success.

Dan Thornton brought up the fact that Haverhill just received $2M to build/and or renovate their stadium.  His idea was that we could approach them to share facilities.  It is done with Central Catholic and Lawrence High School successfully.

Fundraising

Baseball Coach asked permission to sell cards (like gold cards) for $20.00.   PAA approved but Dan Thornton was going to speak to coach about not collecting money from the fundraiser himself.  Coaches are not allowed to handle money from fundraisers.  Must go through boosters and/or a parent.

Girls Tennis team asked permission to be able to raffle off Red Sox tickets that were donated to them.  PAA approved.

Adjourned at 9:16 p.m.
