PAA Minutes Dec 5, 2007 

In attendance: Dan Thornton, Larry Fisher, Ivars Jakobsons, Linda Bolla, Mary Guilmet, Renée Llorente , Jill Daamen 

AD’s Report

• Wrestling Team has received a $1000 donation from John Piggot and another $1000 donation from Anna Jaques to be put towards new uniforms. Coach Puleo has asked if PAA would consider funding the balance.

      Motion approved for PAA to buy 20 new singlets ($65 each) and the 

      donations received by the wrestling team will be used to fund the warm ups .

      Wrestling team will be responsible for thanking the respective parties for   

      their donations. 

• Spin-A-Thon

      $52,000 was raised by this community fund raiser. Pentucket Athletics will

      receive $11,000.

      Dan is hoping that in future years we can build support for this fund raiser as

      it is a quick and easy way to raise money for our athletes.

• A new sign for the Gym has been ordered and will be placed on the wall outside the gym.

General

• PAA would like a list of all Pentucket teams and when new uniforms were

      purchased for each respective team so that in future there can be some 

      rotation basis for the purchasing of uniforms.

• After looking at the gym entrance and surrounding area those present decided we need to have a “clean up” one Saturday in January. Larry Fisher will coordinate with Dan Thornton about what needs to be done and PAA will ask volunteers to step forward to help clean, paint, etc. A new floor mat will be ordered for the entrance and the trophy case will either be cleaned up or removed. An idea to put up current team photos on walls was well received.

     As soon as we have set a date for clean up we will be asking for volunteers to 

     help out.
