2. Varsity Baseball Equipment Collection
Left-over
or unused baseball/softball equipment will be collected at the High
School cafeteria on Saturday, April 7, 2007. It will be donated to Boys
and Girls clubs across the region.
3. Varsity Baseball Request
Baseball Boosters request funding for $56.70 for the Xerox copies that were made to be distributed to the elementary schools for the equipment collection.
Motion
approved.
4. Treasurer's Report
Current balance is $12,450.00.
Still to be deducted: $2,000 scholarships
$2,500 varsity jackets
$1,400 spring photo books
$2,000 repair water main to football concession stand
5. Scholarship Committee
Scholarship
committee has been formed. Applications are due April 27 and committee
will meet after this to review the applications.
6. Trophy Case
Discussion
about the state of the trophy case near the gym entrance. Don DiFelice
noted that this is a high traffic area and vandalism occurs. The trophy
case either needs to be cleaned up or we can look into having a new
trophy case built. Several members noted that this might be a good project
for an Eagle Scout. Debbie Webster and Deb Stephenson were going to
look into this possibility.
7. Varsity Jackets
New
jackets will be ordered in the new school year. Current Varsity players
who already have the old style will be given the opportunity to purchase
a new jacket.
8. New Business
Debbie
Webster noted that the stipend given to the different sports to pay
for paper goods etc for the end of the season banquets is not sufficient
to cover the cost of these products. The committee voted to increase
the stipend for all sports by $25, starting in Fall 2007.
